B001122 — Building a personal archive of the web, the slow way

I really liked this piece. I've been flirting a lot with web archiving because of how fast links rot these days, but it always felt like a pain in the ass to manage. This is... more archaic, but also much simpler and easier to manage. And I just moved to a bigger storage box, so I have a lot of empty space in the cloud, waiting to be filled with restic backups...

For real though, I'm planning on integrating this workflow with Kartes somehow, sprinkling just a bit of automation on top, but not that much. I really care about the quality of the data I harvest, and Kartes also kinda follows this philosophy: all the data is added manually to an org file, it takes a lot more effort than just hooking APIs together, but I have complete control over what I have.

I should take more notes by the way. Overall.
